Enjoy this newly renovated (2022) cottage with an addition that provides a fabulous relaxing view of Miskwabi lake. The beach and waterfront are shared with only 20 other cottages on a small dead end street (not open to the public). Both the upper and lower portions of the cottage have large window views of the lake and each walk out to the large deck or lower patio. There is also a great south view of a small valley of wooded area right on the property. This is a common area for early morning deer or wild turkey to wander through along side a small creek. This is a fabulous place to relax and enjoy with your family and friends. The town of Haliburton has many great adventures and shopping for further entertainment.

EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION

The cottage is all new (2022) including deck, siding, roof, windows, flooring, etc. The 190 plus feet of shore line is shared with 20 other cottages only and many times no one is there at all.  The shore has 3 large docks and plenty of area to put a chair right on sandy, stoney, grassy shore with shallow walking friendly entrance.  There is a small creek that runs through the property to the lake. The bay warms up quicker than the big lake which makes for great swimming.

5 parking spots – electric car charger in driveway (no charge)

BBQ (2022) with propane from main large tank

Child/elderly friendly

Waterfront: 190 ft

Swimming: great easy shallow entry slowly gets deeper to approximately 50 feet out over a person’s head)

Some weeds

3 docks (all 50 feet+) – each with a picnic table – 2 docks are shared by a few other cottages (blue picnic table), third dock (new 2022) designated for our cottage renters (green picnic table)

Sandy grassy sections for kids to play in and around the water

Sloped property to the water with gentle easy walk in, sand small stone shoreline – water shoes recommended

Walk-in entry is acceptable for young children or the elderly that may have mobility issues

Weeds: not many in swimming area – some weeds for a great natural look off to the sides

The water is approximately 4 feet at the end of the dock – has ladder for exiting

The shared dock is large enough to hold an 18’ – 22” bowrider/pleasure/ski type boat

Miskwabi Lake is chain into Long Lake

This lake chain is good for motorboats, water skiing, paddle boarding, kayaking and canoeing

Two kayaks, canoe, paddle wheeler and paddleboard are included with your stay

Decks (are private) front 44 ft x 14 ft, drive side 5 ft x 20 ft, valley side 8 ft x 20 ft (all connected)

TESTIMONIALS

New renovations are spectacular! A lot of attention paid to the decor, the place felt very inviting. The front deck looking out onto the lake was amazing. Loved the zero gravity lounge chairs, I need those in my life! Loved having the kids on one level and the adults on another with a coffee bar and sink.  Andrea L

The cottage was bigger than we expected, actually, the open layout was amazing! We loved that main floor and deck so much. Plenty of space for sleeping, and the beds were quite comfortable. Kitchen was well-stocked, there wasn’t really anything that we couldn’t find. Amazing view of the water, we sat on the deck or down by the water the whole time 🙂 Way more water toys like canoe, kayaks, etc than we expected, so that made it really fun. It was nice how you were really prepared, like roasting sticks already down by the fire, etc, those thoughtful things really meant a lot. Matsell Family (July 2022)

Absolutely wonderful gem of a cottage! So happy I found this spot to make memories with the little ones and perfect setup for our two families. Ian kept regular communication and was available for my questions. Location is right on the water with a few steps to the private dock (where we spent most of our time), with lots of water toys (kayaks, paddle boards). Highlight was seeing the massive turtles! There is a huge deck lending itself to big bbq, and yard games. Thanks for hosting us and hopefully we can return again! Allison S. (Jul 2022)
