We had another lovely stay at Haliburton Hideaway on Long Lake! We enjoyed reading during the day on the sunny upper deck, and sipping a glass of wine on the lower dock later in the afternoon as the sun began to set. The deep warm water makes for great swimming off the dock and Ian has installed steps at the side to make entry easier when needed. We all enjoyed feeding the birds and chipmunks – they’ll be well stocked for winter! Ian and Lisa are super easy to connect with when needed. Such a great vacation spot! The Haliburton Hideaway is a lovely cottage with great amenities (dishwasher, washer/dryer, WiFi, etc.). The outdoor space with firepit and grassy area for lawn games was perfect. They have just built a really cute floating dock in the water which I have no doubt, will be thoroughly enjoyed next summer. We truly appreciated the dog-friendly aspect of the cottage and enjoyed the daily visit we received from a cute, neighbour dog. Haliburton Hideaway is exactly that ! Set in a small quiet cove on beautiful Long lake surrounded by nature at it’s best. The cottage was perfect for our family getaway. The Haliburton Hideaway cottage is a great getaway place and I absolutely love going there. I have already been two times (back to back years) and plan on returning again next summer. This cottage is beautiful, quiet, and clean. The cottage owners are extremely approachable and friendly. If you ever need to get a hold of them, Ian is just a phone call away and is very helpful! The cottage comes with great water toys such as kayaks, canoe and a paddle boat where you can make many memories and have little adventures. There is no seaweed when swimming off the dock which is a huge plus for us! They also allow dogs which is great because I wouldn’t go anywhere without my Rottweiler who absolutely adores the water and all the space this cottage has to offer.
