Description

Precious Gold is a new cottage built in 2024, located on 3 acres of private property surrounded by 1000’s of acres of crown land. Gold Lake is part of a chain of seven lakes which allows for extended water travel. Just feet from the water’s edge, relax on the large deck or in the large family room while taking in a beautiful panoramic lakefront from the windows that run full width of the room. Ceiling fans in each room create a comfortable environment. Meal preparation will be a pleasure in the spacious open kitchen or BBQ the perfect steak on the large deck. Beautiful view of waterfront from the safety of the screened in porch, rain or shine.

Lots of outdoor fun to be had at the waterfront on the huge dock, go for a swim off the jumping rock, paddle on the water in the kayaks or on the paddleboards provided, go fishing. For evening relaxation, settle in at the fire pit close by the water – an excellent spot for spending time under the stars, enjoying a campfire and roasting marshmallows.

Absolutely perfect in every way. The privacy and peace at this cottage is hard to beat. We were greeted by a beautiful deer on arrival and loved watching the loons feed their babies beside the dock again this year! We enjoyed the chain of lakes and the jumping cliff. The lake is warm and clear and clean for swimming and we caught several fish. The setting sun slanting through the tall pines is magical at dinnertime on the deck. The cottage is tidy, nicely updated and easy to care for but it retains a true “cottage” feel. Beds and pillows are super comfortable. The owner even addressed all the tiny details from my suggestions last year (there are plenty of cozy blankets, lighting in bedrooms and sharp knives:)- Thank you!). The large dock and location on Gold lake was perfect for our boating, swimming, and watersports activities. The cottage and bunkie fit our family and guests very well and was comfortable for meals and evening entertainment. -Jeremy M. (July 2019)  

Absolutely amazing! We can’t wait to return next year. We have rented for 20 years and this is our favourite spot. The cottage is very clean, private, cozy, & close to the waters edge. It was very peaceful on the large stable dock from sunrise to sunset. We rented the pontoon boat and loved exploring the chain of lakes. Kids loved the water toys which seemed brand new. Water was pristine- deep off the dock, completely weed free, and warm despite our cool spring. A family of loons visited us to fish in the bay and we heard loons all evening. A few things other renters might want to know: The beds are comfortable but there are no blankets so you will want to pack your own, and one bedroom could use a light on bedside table. If you like to cook at the cottage you may want to bring sharper knives, cheese grater & garlic press. And although the cottage is very private for the area (the most private we’ve ever rented), because it’s near the access between lakes there is a bit of boat traffic on the weekends going by. We were very sad to leave and can’t wait to return to this amazing spot! – Dayna D. (July 2019)
