Located just 15 minutes from the quaint hamlet of Coe Hill, we are just a 2.5 – 3.0 hour drive from the GTA. Your stress will dissipate as you arrive and settle into the calm.
The gently sloping landscape is ideal for children and the elderly and is ideally suited as a couple’s retreat or a family vacation.
Situated perfectly on a point with big lake views and sundrenched south/west exposure, you will appreciate the nightly sunset as the sun sinks below the tree line. A generous 32-foot dock provides for easy water access for swimming and to soak up the sun. There is a 4-person pedal boat, 2 kayaks and a paddle board for your enjoyment. Whether you are searching for sun or shade you can take full advantage of the 600 feet of water frontage where you will find multiple seating areas, each with a unique view of the lake. Enjoy evening fires with friends and family or relax in the hot tub.
The cottage boasts vaulted pine ceilings in both the dining and living areas, Hickory Natural Plank flooring, 2 fully equipped bathrooms, both with heated floors, 4 comfortable size bedrooms, a wood burning and propane fireplace and a hot tub. Barnboard adds character and warmth and is a feature throughout the cottage.The cottage is tastefully decorated throughout and provides a warm and comforting environment that says Canadiana.
We named our cottage the Paper Birch Cottage Co. due to the significant presence of White Birch Trees on the property. The open concept main floor is flooded with sunlight all day long. The dining room comfortably seats 8 with majestic western views to the lake. The living room is the perfect gathering place for a board game or sit back and enjoy a movie or read a book in front of a roaring fire. The kitchen is fully equipped and provides all amenities including large and small appliances, a wine fridge, coffee center, spices, vinegars, oils, all provided with compliments.
The master bedroom exudes luxury with a king size bed and direct access to outside and the bathroom. The second upstairs bedroom provides a comfortable queen size bed and ample storage. There is a full washer and dryer on the main floor in the pantry and a large Weber BBQ on the deck for the grill master. The lower level provides 2 bedrooms one with a queen size bed and the other with 2 twins. Each bedroom has stunning lake views and direct access to the lake, a fully equipped bathroom, and a family room with a fireplace and TV.
For winter guests (Nov to April) the cottage road is hilly so we strongly recommentd that you should arrive in an all wheel/4-wheel drive vehicle during this time.

Quiet and friendly. The Hamlet of Coe Hill is a 15 minute drive from the cottage and provides all your essential needs. It has small grocery store, liquor/beer store & post office. Also visit the Old Hastings Mercantile and Gallery 20 minutes from the cottage. A throw back in time specializing in the local community merchandise and artistry. Highly recommended.
Bancroft is 35 minutes from cottage and has everything you will need.
The area has extensive ATV and snowmobile trails and is perfect for cross country skiing.
* Rates are based on 8 guests. $210 will be charged per extra guest. Maximum 10 guests are allowed. Children under 1 year of age are free.
