Nestled in the heart of Kawartha’s cottage country, lies this breathtaking lakefront cottage. Comfortably situated at the end of the bay, this property can be accessed by a private lane lined with towering white birch and spruce trees. This private 4000 square foot home backs onto open acres of Crown land and has plenty of nearby recreational activities for every season. It is the sole cottage at the end of the bay and shares its western shoreline with only one other property.

This warm and welcoming 4-season home boasts a spectacular waterfront view and has all the amenities a vacationer could desire! The interior of the house showcases natural pine, a vaulted ceiling and pristine hardwood floors throughout the kitchen, living room and master bedroom, while the remaining five bedrooms and upstairs loungeroom have carpeting. The wide, two-story windows overlook the expansive deck, firepit, barbeque area, private dock, and beach. The large kitchen and connecting living room, with a second-floor lounge area that is separated only by a railing that overlooks the main floor, allows its guests to feel both accessible and secluded from anywhere in the house. The open concept creates a feeling of luxury and space, while the casual furnishings beckon for comfort and relaxation.

There are two separate lounge areas. The main floor living space is open to above and centres around the gorgeous stone fireplace.  There is ample seating for entertaining.  There is a pool table area in addition to the TV room. The open concept design and large kitchen is perfect for a large family gathering.  The upper lounge area is another space to sit and enjoy a book or for the kids to escape to their own games area. There are two arcade games (Pinball & Pacman), shuffle board & pool/billiard table and another TV for gaming or watching movies.

Cottage water: clean and drinkable (run through a triple filtration system) – water cooler for large water bottles (water bottles not supplied)

Large gourmet kitchen fully equipped (dishwasher, microwave, 4 slice toaster, blender, air fryer, crock pot and kettle) for the chefs of the family.  There is every type of coffee maker on offer as well as blenders and plenty of pots and pans for your cooking requirements.  There is a 12 seat harvest table for dining as well as a large breakfast bar for additional seating and entertaining.

The cottage is equipped with central air conditioning and there are 2 large ceiling fans upstairs that help to cool the entire cottage.

EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION  

This warm and welcoming 4-season home boasts a spectacular waterfront view and has all the amenities a vacationer could desire!

From the main living room, walk out to the large outdoor deck with high top bar tables as well as dining table for al fresco dining all day long.  The expansive dock has numerous lounge chairs to enjoy the south facing sun.

From the upper level, walk out to the south facing balcony where you can enjoy a morning coffee and take in the sound of silence!

The shallow entry sandy beachfront makes this cottage accessible to all and is a huge selling feature for guests traveling with small children. There are plenty of water toys and equipment to keep the whole family busy.  There are kayaks, canoes, stand up paddle boards and numerous rafts available to use.  The screened in porch offers another outdoor space to enjoy with comfortable seating and an all season hot tub that seats up to 6 adults.

There are 2 BBQs for guests to use – two propane tanks are provided – if one runs out, it is the guest’s responsibility to have it refilled or exchanged before the end of their stay.

• Harrington Park on Horseshoe Lake Road provides hikers a wonderful glimpse of the Minden Wild Water Preserve and rapids.

• Snowden Park is an option for those wanting a little longer hike and options of shorter trails along the way. The wetland and forest preserve also provides winter activities such as snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, while bird watchers enjoy the many species on hand.

If linen and towel service is not requested (see below), pillows and pillow cases are included for each bed however guests need to bring all other linens (including sheets, blankets/comforter) and towels

Concierge Services:

All of the following services would be provided and organized through the cottage owners, arranged after the Cottage Rental Agreement (CRA) has been provided by Kawartha Cottage Vacations (KCV), with payments made directly to the owner not KCV.

Cleaning Service:
Mandatory fee of $600 (includes on site garbage disposal and firewood)

Linens and Towels:
This service provides linens for all beds including pillows and pillowcases, fitted sheet, flat sheet and comforter.  The service also provides bath towels for all guests including large bath sheet, hand towel and face cloth.  Please note that beach towels are not provided.

Fee = $500

Sauna:
The floating sauna is a great addition to the cottage.  If you would like to use it during your stay, the kit required for use would be provided.  It includes firewood, firestarter and tools for the stove. The property manager will provide the kit at check in and instructions on how to use the sauna.

Fee: $300 – 3 night stay and $500 for 7 night stay

Pizza Oven:
There is a gas fueled pizza oven that can be provided for your use.  Instructions on how to use it would be provided at check in by the property manager.

Fee: $50 – 3 night stay and $150 for 7 night stay

Catering and Chef Services:
There are a variety of options available for your stay including prepared meals that are waiting for you in the fridge at check in.  Three course chef prepared meals can also be provided.  A server is also provided and all preparation and clean up is included. More details and pricing would be provided.

Mobile Spa Services:
A variety of on site spa services can be arranged. More details and pricing would be provided.

Water Equipment Rentals:
A variety of non-motorized water equipment is provided.  If you’d like to rent motorized equipment, delivery can be arranged.  More details and pricing would be provided.

Outstanding balance + $1500 damage deposit due 28 days prior to checking in.

Damage Deposit: To be refunded within 7 business days upon check-out
