Description

Welcome to your peaceful family retreat on beautiful Stoney Lake!

The cottage is located in a quiet bay across from Fairy Lake Island and a few paddle strokes away from the Lost Channel where you can enjoy wildlife and search for the hidden journal. Enjoy the extensive views of the lake from the dining room or living room while keeping an eye out for the osprey and herons. The cottage comes equipped with the comforts of a newly renovated kitchen (2020) and dining room (2021). There is a cozy wood stove if it gets chilly.

The sandy waterfront provides easy entry into the water for swimming. The large grassy lot is perfect for games and perhaps even jumping on the trampoline. Enjoy private dining on the large side deck followed by roasting marshmallows around the fire pit overlooking the bay. There is a good mix of sun and shade throughout the day.

There are 3 kayaks, a canoe, and a stand up paddleboard available for exploring the surrounding area. Along with good fishing in the bay and nearby areas.

EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION  

  • 3 parking spots
  • BBQ – there are 2 propane tanks at the cottage, if one runs out, it is the renter’s responsibility to have it refilled or exchanged at earliest opportunity
  • Flat property: grassy on lakefront, rocky/forested in back
  • Child/elderly friendly
  • Waterfront: 95 ft
  • Good swimming: waterfront is maintained by owner for approximately 30’ from the shoreline, however the bay is weedy beyond that point
  • Sandy shoreline with large flat area for play
  • Walk-in entry to the water is acceptable for young children or the elderly that may have mobility issues
  • Some weeds – maintained in the area surrounding the dock – water shoes if preferred, however the swim area by dock is sandy
  • Dock: 25 ft x 3.5 ft (length & width) – water is 4-5 feet at the end of the dock
  • Dock is large enough to hold up to a 21” bowrider/pleasure/ski type boat
  • Lake is good for motorboats, water skiing, paddle boarding, kayaking etc.
  • Canoe, 3 kayaks (2 adult and 1 child), standup paddle board
  • Decks: 15 x 20 ft (side); 4 x 15 ft (front)

  • Walk to the Burleigh Falls which is a big attraction for a lot of people

  • Initial deposit of 50% due upon booking
  • Outstanding balance + $500 damage deposit due 28 days prior to checking in
  • Damage Deposit: To be refunded within 7 business days upon check-out
