Docking: boat may be docked during the day if calm waters but may not be left tied to the dock overnight due to possible storms and possible wave/wind damage to boat and/or dock – waves on this side of the lake can be substantial causing boat/damage – boat owners should be prepared to remove boat from dock during windy/wavy periods of time – not large enough for pontoon boat

The cottage is 13 minutes from Lakefield which hosts the Jazz Festival, Literary Festival, Annual Fair and participates in the Studio Tour. Lakefield has many unique stores, restaurants and all the necessities such as groceries and LCBO. Lakefield also has a fantastic butcher shop, gourmet vegetable store, gourmet cafe and an upscale bakery, bookstore and a marina, making it a car or boat destination.

The area is ideal for cyclists, golfers, boaters, has walking trails and many nearby attractions including the Petroglyphs Park, Warsaw Caves and a berry farm.
