Tranquil Waterfront Haven on Chemong Lake

Come and make memories with your family at our much loved family cottage that we’ve enjoyed for generations. Soak in the summer sunshine on the patio out back while listening to the breeze whisper through the cedar trees. Let your cares melt away while lounging on the dock or swaying peacefully in the hammock. Gaze at the incredible night sky and count the shooting stars while snuggling by the campfire.

Take the canoe for a peaceful early morning paddle and watch our resident blue heron as he lands on the dock to greet the day. Cast your line off the dock and spend the afternoon fishing. Cool off with a relaxing weed-free swim in the lake. Take in the incredible sunsets from the deck. If you’re up for a walk to town, Bridgenorth is a 15 minute stroll away. Dine at Chemong Lodge or grab your morning java at Timmies. Cross the causeway to buy fresh local sweet corn, right from the farmer’s truck. Prepare delicious meals in my grandmother’s kitchen with the fresh produce that you’ve found at our local farmer’s markets and roadside stands.

This lovely getaway is as great for families as it would be for an individual or couple looking for a slower change of pace that is within easy reach of lots of interesting destinations and attractions. We are situated in the perfect location because there is always something to do if you feel like it and if you feel like simply kicking back and taking it easy, it is the perfect place to be, too. We especially love that we are close enough to town to run in and grab something that we need (or have forgotten) but that it feels like we are a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life when we’re at the lake.

The dock will take you about 30 feet into the lake where you can enjoy the sunsets or jump into weed-free water for a swim. If jumping into the lake is not your speed you can wade into the lake with sandy/small stony (near shore) with ease or play by the shore in a small grassy/sandy area. Access to the water is easy for launching the canoe or our kayaks. The main cottage is partly surrounded by a deck with plenty of seating. We’ve also installed a sun shade for those seeking a break from the sunny days, but still want a view of the lake. There are shady areas with grass for those who want to have a game of badminton or volleyball or let the children run free. The hammock swings from mobile self supporting stand so you can always have a relaxing view of the lake. There is a picnic table near the fire pit for lunches, evening dinners by campfire or an evening of roasting marshmallows.
