Set on a peaceful, well-treed half-acre waterfront property on beautiful Belmont Lake, this spacious 4-season cottage combines the character and relaxation of a traditional lake getaway with the comfort and amenities of a modern home.

Whether it’s summer, fall, winter or spring, there’s something for everyone.

THE COTTAGE

The heart of Belmont Lake Life is a bright, spacious open-concept great room featuring dramatic 20-foot cathedral ceilings, hardwood floors and comfortable living and dining areas.

The fully equipped kitchen opens directly onto the living and dining spaces, making it easy to cook, gather and enjoy time together. A large dining table provides plenty of room for family meals, games and conversation.

The cottage also features:

• Wood-burning fireplace available during the cooler months
• Reliable Wi-Fi suitable for streaming, video calls, browsing and remote work
• 2 Smart TV’s with Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and DVD player

• Quiet screened porch overlooking the property
• Upper deck accessible from the living room and screened porch

The screened porch is a particularly peaceful spot to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind with a book while listening to the sounds of the lake and surrounding trees.

Whether it’s a rainy afternoon, a winter evening or a family tournament after dinner, there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained even when you’re not on the lake.

The dedicated games area includes:

THE KITCHEN

The spacious kitchen is fully equipped for everything from quick breakfasts to large family dinners.

The kitchen includes:

• Dishwasher
• Filter coffee maker (with reusable filter)
• Toaster
• Wolf convection/toaster oven
• Kettle
• Microwave
• Additional refrigerator for drinks and extra food storage with an additional fridge for overflow located in the basement.
• Full selection of cookware and kitchen essentials

Outside, guests can enjoy the Ooni Karu multi-fuel pizza oven and BBQ. Propane tanks are provided for the BBQ.

OUTDOOR LIVING

The outdoors is where Belmont Lake Life really comes alive. Set on a half-acre of private, well-treed waterfront with approximately 160 feet of natural shoreline, the property offers a peaceful setting with good separation from neighbouring cottages. The cottage faces east, providing beautiful morning light and relaxing lake views.

The gently sloping property leads naturally from the cottage to the waterfront, with several inviting spaces to relax and enjoy the lake.

• Year-Round Hot Tub: Just steps from the walkout basement, the 6-person Jacuzzi hot tub is perfect after a day on the lake, winter activities, or simply relaxing under the stars.
• Upper & Lower Decks: A spacious upper deck offers beautiful lake views and room for outdoor dining, while the expansive lower deck provides ample seating and a porch swing.
• Lakeside Fire Pit: Enjoy the waterfront fire-pit area with custom log benches and chairs, plus a large hammock and homemade swing overlooking the lake.

ENJOY BELMONT LAKE

The cottage offers easy access to the water and plenty of ways to enjoy it, including:

• 30-Foot Dock: Includes comfortable seating, a swim ladder and bumpers for protecting your watercraft, with approximately 5 feet of water at the end.
• Easy Water Access: Enter the lake from the dock or the shallow, gradual walk-in area near the blue boathouse. The lake has a 160 ft private natural shoreline, and some aquatic vegetation is present near the shallower swimming area. Water shoes are recommended.
• Water Activities: Belmont Lake is excellent for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, boating, water skiing and fishing, with bass, walleye, musky, pike, perch, crappie and other panfish to catch.

Guests have access to:

• 6 kayaks
• Canoe
• Paddleboat
• Large anchored floating water mat
• 3 fishing rods
• A selection of adult and youth life jackets in various sizes is available for guest use. Guests are encouraged to bring their own properly fitted PFD if they require a specific size or fit.

Watercrafts are available seasonally (typically Victoria Day to Thanksgiving, depending on water levels, safety, and weather).

OTHER COTTAGE DETAILS

• Cottage water: The cottage uses a private lake-fed water system with filtration and UV treatment. One large 18L bottle of drinking water is provided for guests’ convenience, and guests who prefer bottled water are welcome to bring additional bottles or purchase more locally
• Internet: Reliable Wi-Fi suitable for streaming, video calls, browsing and remote work
• Cell Coverage: Cell service is generally good, with coverage available through Bell, Rogers and Telus. Mobile hotspots can also be used from the cottage
• Security Camera: An exterior security camera monitors the driveway/front entrance area for security when the cottage is unoccupied
• Parking: 4 parking spaces

Summer

Spend your days swimming, fishing, kayaking, boating and enjoying the floating water mat before gathering around the fire or relaxing in the hot tub.

Fall

Enjoy spectacular autumn scenery, peaceful days on the lake and evenings beside the fire. Head out at dusk in search of a trophy musky.

Winter

The cottage becomes a cozy winter retreat with the wood-burning fireplace, year-round hot tub and snowshoes available in a variety of sizes for exploring the surrounding area. When conditions permit and the lake is safely frozen, bring out the shovel and create your own skating rink right on the lake. AWD or 4WD is recommended during cold/icy weather in winter.

Spring

Enjoy the peaceful reopening of the lake for another season of fishing, paddling, hiking and relaxing by the water. From the screened porch, listen as the forest comes back to life with the sounds of spring.

Although Belmont Lake Life feels wonderfully private, amenities and attractions are within easy driving or paddling distance.

• Belmont Lake Brewery– approximately a 10-minute paddle from the cottage.
• Lower Cordova Waterfall– approximately a 45-minute paddle from the cottage or 15 min drive
• Sandbar at the mouth of the Deer River– approximately a 5-minute paddle, and a great spot for frisbee, swimming and exploring.

Nearby Amenities

Foodland, pharmacy, LCBO, Beer Store, Home Hardware, restaurants and a specialty bakery/coffee shop are all approximately 10–15 minutes away in Havelock.

• Petroglyphs Provincial Park – approximately 35 minute drive
• Canada’s Indian River Reptile and Dinosaur Park – approximately 30 minute drive

TESTIMONIALS

Had a lovely stay at Belmont Lake Life in June 2026. The cottage is cozy, comfortable and nicely decorated. Activities in the basement (ping pong, foosball, basketball, air hockey) were nice to have. The weather was a little chilly for June, so it was nice to have such great indoor space. Although we enjoyed the quiet, given there weren’t many people around.
Lots of options for outdoor space: raised deck, two sections of water front deck and a really nice firepit. On Saturday afternoon, we could hear the lovely live music from what we assumed was the Belmont Lake Brewery across the lake. Next time we’ll make the short trek across the lake for a visit. The cottage owner, David, was very responsive, helpful and flexible.
