We had a wonderful family vacation. The cottage is very comfortable. Accommodated 6 adults and 2 small kids with no issues. Lots of seating everywhere inside and out. The lake and location are absolutely PERFECT. The kids (age 4 and 5) could wade in the water barefoot and with no reeds. The canoe and paddle boat were great. The trampoline and other kid ‘toys’ were great entertainment. We will definitely be back soon. – Pamela (Aug 2022)
We had the pleasure to stay at Picturesque Paint Lake Cottage October 2021 over our Thanksgiving holiday. There were 6 of us, 2 parents and 4 young adult children. Kawartha Cottages was great to deal with from the start and we had direct communication with the owner who answered all our questions (before our vacation and during our stay at the cottage). Our 2 pets loved the cottage and the cottage was well equipped for them. The beds were very comfortable and the 2 bathrooms were much needed with 6 people. The kitchen is a ‘cottage kitchen’ but had everything we needed for cooking and baking during the week we were there. We enjoyed the outdoor space. The deck is a great place to watch the sun rise! We also enjoyed the kayak and paddle board. The charcoal bbq was great and the bonfire pit was were we spent our evenings. We love Dorset so the location was fantastic. We went on several hikes in the area and enjoyed a day in Huntsville. This is a cottage property. If you are looking for a ‘cottage’ vacation (with very comfy beds) this is it!! -Sincerely, The Young’s Oct 2021
