There are lots of places to lounge and relax at the cottage; on the Muskoka porch, at the outdoor firepit, on the lake facing deck (those sunsets!), or on the back deck.

The bay makes the property extra private with great water for kids to swim. Because the lake is smaller, the water warms up very quickly making it perfect for swimming. Great for fishing, the lake has smallmouth bass and musky. For those looking to work from home while at the lake (now more than ever!), this is the place for you with all the comforts of home without the hustle and bustle. EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION

• Property gently slopes to water with lots of trees and Canadian shield large rocks

• Dock: 10 ft – water is 3-5 ft deep at the end of the dock
• Deck: 3 decks – 15 ft at water, 10 ft off back, 30 ft screened in porch/deck off kitchen
• Waterfront: 135 ft
• Shallow swimming
• Please note: this is not a cottage you can cannon ball off the dock from! Waterfront can be very shallow (depending on time of year) and weedy/mucky.  Water shoes are suggested. We encourage all guests to float/boat out to the larger lake from the bay for deeper swimming. A large water mat is available to allow for lounging in the water off the dock. Also, to note if bringing a boat, the bay is shallow and the north part of the lake is very rocky.

TESTIMONIAL

The cottage was lovely – lots of spaces to sit, read and drink a glass of wine. Rainy days could be spent in the screened in porch. Kitchen was small but well stocked. Bedrooms were very comfortable (note that master bedroom is open to the lower floor). Easy walk down to the lake, water was very still and calm. Our family had a wonderful stay at Four Winds Cottage on Four Mile Lake. The cottage was very, very clean with all the amenities a family needs for a week long retreat. The property was fantastic with a large dock area, several boats for use, large fire pit and ample parking. The cottage interior was extremely comfortable, with an indoor fireplace, comfortable beds, appliance-stocked kitchen and a Muskoka netted porch with couches and a table to play games and relax and enjoy the feeling of being high up in the forest. The BBQ, WiFi and TVs worked great, there were board games and other thoughtful touches and it was dog-friendly. The owners gave clear instructions and were available for any questions we had. The cottage was well equipped. The waterfront was nice especially the dock. Screened in porch was well used during our stay for dining and lounging. Awesome place to spend time with the family. We had a wonderful time at the Four Winds cottage. The cottage itself is beautiful, modern, clean and well-equipped. We were beyond comfortable. There were many water activities to keep us busy and active. We enjoyed nearby hiking trails and the firepit in the evening. While we experienced fantastic weather while we there, the one day of rain allowed us to snuggle in the screened in porch and enjoy the twinkly lights while we read and played games. While we had no reason to reach out for any assistance during our stay, I had the upmost confidence that our concerns would have been responded to immediately given our experience in booking the cottage.  A wonderful two weeks! -Michelle (Aug 2021)

• Cleaning Service: $200 (strongly recommended - mandatory for rentals less than 1 week)
• Linens: King/Queen/Double $25.00, Single $15.00

• Pet Fee: No charge for first pet, $75 for each additional pet

• Interac E-Transfer (preferred method)
• Initial deposit of 50% due upon booking
• Outstanding balance + $1000 damage deposit due 28 days prior to checking in

Damage Deposit: To be refunded within 7 business days upon check-out

Weekly rentals including a Statutory Long Weekend will be calculated using a prorated weekly rate
