Description

Cordova Lake House is a two-story Viceroy cottage that is cherished and very well maintained. Enjoy all the comforts of home in this tastefully decorated space that is bright and cheery with beautiful western exposure all seasons of the year. Cordova Lake is large enough for all activities including sailing, fishing, water skiing, windsurfing, riding seadoos, kayaking and snowmobiling but not so large where you could get lost! The water is crystal clear, without weeds, and is lovely and warm by mid-June. Just steps down from the deck is a sandy beach with shallow entry into the water. The large screened in porch with full dining ensures you can enjoy western exposure sunrises with your morning coffee or sunsets with your evening cocktail. For winter visitors, the lake is usually frozen by mid-December.

TESTIMONIALS

The cottage had lots of beds and a huge, beautiful deck that was shaded by big trees nearly all the time. The water is shallow (hip deep on adults) and there is a sandy entry. (If you go out farther than 40-50 feet, then there are a lot of weeds.) We enjoyed the screened in porch for evening games and watching the fireflies at dusk. The fire pit is in a great location to watch the sunset. When we had a couple of unforeseen issues, the owner relied promptly and resolved everything. A lovely cottage stay! Jane (Jul 2024)

We enjoyed our week at Cordova Lake House very much. The cottage was very well equipped, inside and out. The beach area and water are very toddler-friendly. It was well-equipped, inside and out. The screened-in dining area was wonderful to use. We also made good use of the fire-pit. Our toddler grandson loved the beach area and the shallow entry into the water was perfect for him. We made full use of the kayaks and paddleboards as well. We enjoyed exploring the area and found a good hike at Upper Cordova Falls. Sandy (Jul 2023)

The cottage was fantastic, clean and had lots of room for all of us. The neighbors were great and the water was clear and warm. One of the best, if not the best cottage we have stayed at. —John C. (Jul 2023)

We loved the Cordova Lake house. It was nice to have the cottage so close to the water. The beach was nice for the kids to play on. The cottage is shaded which was nice to avoid sun all day long. The water is very shallow and our 20 foot bowrider had to be anchored and tied to the end of the dock. (we had approval for this size of boat) The lake does have a lot of zebra mussels which resulted in a cut foot. The kitchen area is small but it worked for our group. The bedrooms were nice and spacious. —Megan H. (Jul 2023)

The cottage was clean, easy to access. The water was beautiful, the cottage has absolutely everything you need to spend a perfect time with your family and friends. I only have good things to say about this place. Would love to come back!  —Vincent G (Labour Day Weekend, 2021)

We are back home after a very enjoyable week with our family at your beautiful Cordova Lake House. It suited our needs perfectly. We particularly enjoyed the Martini Lounge, all the deck seating/eating areas, and the grass/fire pit and beach area were excellent for our young grandchildren. Your geothermal heat exchange system seems to work really well, we had sweltering hot/humid weather at the beginning, then very cool weather at the end, but the system kept us comfy indoors. We hope we can come and visit again. Your cottage has tons of household and outdoor toys/equipment, and the neighbours were very friendly, with our granddaughter making friends with their children. All the best, thanks again. —Nick & Janice (Aug. 2021)

Myself, my husband, sons and their families go on an annual one-week vacation together every year. This tradition started when our oldest was still a baby. This year we stayed at Cordova Lake House. The cottage exceeded everything we expected from the website description. The dining area is spectacular surrounded by glass windows. The outdoor seating is one of the best we have ever rented. There are multiple sitting areas that allow for groups to split up if they so choose. The fire pit is well built up and is safe and contained with ample seating around it too. Fishing out in the rowboat was a lot of fun and the kids were over the moon with the large mouth bass and pike they managed to hook. The stand-up paddle board was another big hit and was a challenge that we enjoyed. A great cottage for a family vacation!  —Christine P (Aug. 2021)

Hi Nancy, I just want to thank you and Sean for making our family vacation for 2021 possible, we all had so much fun!! Our weeks’ stay at your lake house was absolutely enjoyable. The surrounding area was beautiful. The lake house itself was awesome. So nicely decorated, clean and plenty of room for all of us(8 adults and 2 dogs). We ate all of our meals in the screened in dining room. At night, it was used as our games room. Some nights, we would pass on the games and have a fire in the fire pit on the property, along with some refreshments:) I looked forward to my morning coffee, sitting on the deck with my dog, Sophie and taking in the view. I loved it! We were all so happy to have the use of the  paddle board, kayaks, and peddle boat that was provided.  The lake was so nice and refreshing, you could walk out so far before it started getting deep. We are all looking forward to coming back for the summer of 2022. See you next July!  —Joanne T and Family (Jul 2021)

We had a great time staying at the Cordova lake house! The cottage was very clean, had all amenities we needed, even better from the pictures! —Babak B. (Oct. 2020)

We recently stayed at Cordova Lake house, we were a group of 8. There was plenty of room for us all. The cottage is exactly as advertised. It was very clean upon our arrival, owners very quick to respond to any questions and beds were very comfortable. The screened in porch is a huge asset. We spent every night there playing cards while kids watched movies. The deck and waterfront are stunning and you will get the afternoon sun and sunsets, which in my opinion is that it is all about. There have been some recent upgrades to the cottage but even some of the older appliances etc are in excellent condition and its obvious that this property has been well maintained and cared for over the years. My old dog who has some hip issues now enjoyed the flat property and there enough space there so we could set up badminton net for our teens. Neighbours are indeed very close. One was not there while we stayed and the others are very nice and generally everyone keeps to themselves so it was not bothersome. But certainly not the place for loud parties. The only disappointment for some in our group was the lake itself. It is very shallow for quite a distance from dock, and when it drops deeper there was a lot of weeds. So it is not great for jumping/swimming for adults. However if you have little kids with you than I would say it is perfect and I enjoyed use of the Kayaks. We had a great week at Cordova Lake, would recommend this property (especially families with young kids) and we will definitely consider going back. —Sandra L. (Aug. 2020)

Cottage was great. Website was easy to navigate and rental process was easy. Would definitely recommend. —Richard T. (Aug. 2020)

Our stay at Cordova Lake house was great! Beautiful spot, beds were comfy, back deck was lovely, the screened porch was awesome. We could use the paddle boat and kayaks which was great. Overall great stay. —Kate M. (July 2020)
