Located on peaceful Wolf Lake in the Kawartha Highlands, Wolf Den is a brand new four season cottage/home that offers both luxury and comfort with vaulted pine ceilings throughout and ceiling fans in every room. The modern executive open concept provides all the amenities of home with large windows all along the front with beautiful panoramic lakefront views. A spacious kitchen and eating area allow you to prepare delicious meals while your family gathers around the quartz counters. A full-size barbecue is also available to prepare that perfect steak. For those chilly evenings or cold winter days, relax in the comfortable seating round the gas fireplace in the grand room. The cozy sunroom is walled with full sized windows that open on every side affording full panoramic views from every angle. Savour your morning coffee or a gorgeous sunset while relaxing in a comfy chair or loveseat, or move onto the deck from any of the main floor bedrooms.

For those who enjoy the out of doors, there is excellent swimming with no weeds, gradual walk in entry to the water which is perfect for young children or dive right off the dock, go kayaking or canoeing. If you prefer, go fishing – lots of large and small mouth bass, sunfish have been caught right off the dock, walleye and muskie are out there. Winter activities include ice skating, ice fishing, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and access to nearby snowmobile trails. Both snowmobile and motor boat rentals are available at the local marina.

Just the vacation we needed! We enjoyed the most relaxing week up at Lake last summer. The cottage is brand new, spotless and has everything you could need! The location on the lake is incredible (not heavy at all with boat traffic), perfect for canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. We were blown away by how tranquil this place was – the water was the perfect temperature (no weeds at all while swimming) and the sunsets are to die for!  We spent our days enjoying breakfast on the large deck overlooking the lake, the afternoons on the dock by the water, and ended the night with a bon fire.  The kitchen is fully stocked and the BBQ made meals a breeze. The cottage has large sliding glass doors that make it feel like you are outside even when stuck inside cozied up to the fire if it’s raining. The bedrooms are spacious and look fresh. The cottage in general has lots of space – we easily fit 8 people, no problem. The town of Apsley is a quick drive away (maybe 10 min) with access to a grocery store, LCBO and Kawartha Dairy! Eileen and Scott made everything very easy for us; they were incredibly helpful and quick with their responses. We could not praise this cottage enough, and of course, is highly recommend! We will be returning again for the 2018 season and cannot wait! —Jessica

Scott and Eileen were fantastic with answering our questions and ensuring that we had the best cottage experience.  They were always there when we needed them. Their cottage is absolutely stunning – beautiful inside and out – the pictures don’t do it justice! This spot is the perfect combination of rustic and modern. It’s located on a moderately sized lake, on a quiet lakefront property, surrounded by nature. The cottage is brand new with all the comforts of home (wifi, wood burning stove, comfortable beds etc). It sleeps everyone very comfortably, has lots of space in the living room, the kitchen is brand new and lakefront views from the deck are amazing. This place is ideal for relaxing. The lake is perfect, small enough so you don’t get a lot of boat traffic yet big enough that you can explore for hours.  We had an amazing experience staying here and can’t recommend it enough!! —Jeff
