TESTIMONIALS

Quiet and charming lake. The lake is a small lake that feeds into a larger lake. It was a perfect size for being able to let the kids in the canoe and watch them. Still plenty of room in the lake for using the boat. Very quiet and tranquil setting. Nice little beach area was perfect. The cottage was clean and I had everything needed. It was exactly what I imagine the cottage should be! —Michael B. (Jul 2024)

We stayed for a week at the cottage and had the perfect time. Zahra was an incredible host, very responsive and assisted us with questions very promptly. She is very friendly and wanted to help us enjoy our time. I would give her a 5 star as a host without a doubt! The cottage itself was clean and comfortable. It had all we needed for cooking. I would want a bit more space to store what we brought but we were able to make some space in a cupboard without a problem. We did not realize that the TV is not connect to the internet so we had to buy some DVDs for the cold evenings as we had no access to Netflix or cable but again knowing that, bring your own collection if you think you would watch TV. As for the property we enjoyed the sandy beach and the water was shallow with a gradual drop so is also great for kids and people with disabilities or the elder. I had my senior parents and they loved it! The lake is small, quiet clean and just incredible for swimming and non-motor water activities, we had access to Head Lake by kayak and listened to the loons all week!. They also rent a small motor boat we did not use it but is always good to know you have that choice. Bring water shoes if you do not like the feeling of mucky sand but the lake is not weedy at all, it is clear and clean. The neighbours all though close are very quiet and respectful and not always around. Saw them mainly on the weekend. We kept our sounds also to a minimum and loved the piece and quiet. It is not a party lake that was a plus for us. Cottage is close to a small town with all you can need including groceries and a restaurant and is only a 20 min drive to Minden if you like to venture out. Amenities also included a BBQ, solar lights that light up the night at the cottage, perfect for a fire. A hammock and plenty of patio furniture to chill, working drip coffee and toaster, fridge was big and stove and oven in working order. The water cooler even has a doggy tray! Cottage is doggy friendly, now a days this is rare so we loved this as well. There are sensor lights for the evening and they have lights all around the deck in the evening that light up like a Christmas tree! We brought our own towels and bedding including blankets but you can also rent if you like to. It really was a perfect place to stay and we will absolutely go back! —Helga S. (Aug 2023)
