TESTIMONIALS

Loon Talk Cottage has been our summer vacation destination for over 10 years ! Our host Ken has been great to work with and very accommodating. The cottage is very comfortable and functional and the decor is a real tribute to Clear Lake . It is certainly one of the nicest lots on the lake with great boating, swimming and fishing from the dock. The outdoor shower under the trees outback is a real cottage perk experience. Looking forward to being back at the lake once again this summer! —Tim and Arlene M. and family.

We had a wonderful time at Ken’s cottage with our kids and grandkids and I highly recommend it. Ken is a terrific host who responded instantly to any of our requests. We rented the cottage for several weeks every summer for about five years, and would still be renting it today if we hadn’t enjoyed the experience so much that we decided to buy our own place. The list of things we loved about Loon Talk cottage is endless but highlights include: fabulous swimming off the dock; a great sand pit for the kids, right at the water; lovely decor in the main cottage with modern appliances; a charming bunkie that will give you the best sleeps of your year; a fabulous outdoor shower (try it – it’s addictive!); perfect spots on the patio and lawn for lunch and dinner, with gorgeous views of the lake; an expansive and flat lawn for the kids to run around; loads of comfy Muskoka chairs to read or snooze in; a perfect fire pit, complete with a big pot for cooking lobster; and, only 10 minutes from the quaint town of Lakefield which has excellent restaurants and a great grocery store. We really enjoyed our stay at Loon Talk. Cozy and wonderful! —(Dec 2022)

Thanksgiving 2020 was memorable! Spending the holiday with our adult children in Loon Talk gave us the opportunity to be in a setting that allowed us the space and tranquility to reconnect in a wonderful way. There was everything we needed, down to the smallest detail that made it feel home to us. The property was gorgeous, secluded yet close to shopping and amenities. Communication with the host was quick and easy! Thank you, we hope to return again! —Laurie D. (Oct. 2020)

Loon Talk is an excellent cottage to rent, we have rented this unit twice and feel it to be very suitable for our needs. It is very well maintained and safe for all ages. A high point for everyone was the outdoor shower, comfortable beds, ample space , privacy and Ken is great to deal with. Another great family vacation in the books. —Thelma M. (Jul 2020)

This place is GORGEOUS and the owner is the most hospitable host! —Sandra (Jul 2018)

We spent a week in the Fall at Loon Talk Cottage which was very enjoyable.  The cottage itself was comfortable, well maintained, well-equipped and tastefully decorated.  We had everything we needed and more.  The view from the cottage out over the lake was great.   The area around the cottage was conducive to walking in the natural setting.  We explored the surrounding areas of Lakefield, Curve Lake and Peterborough which were interesting and found a lovely restaurant for lunch in Lakefield called Cassis Bistro.  Ken was most helpful in arranging and welcoming us to the cottage.  I would definitely be interested in renting Loon Talk Cottage again and happy to recommend it to others.—Kathleen O. (Oct 2016)

We were very impressed with this well equipped clean cottage overlooking the lake. Our family enjoyed the great swimming, beautiful sunsets and roasting marshmallows by the water. We would defiantly love to rent this property again!—Bev & Monty Messaros

This was definitely the best cottage we have rented! Easy to get too, very clean and has everything you need. The outdoor shower is amazing! The fire pit is well located by the lake and the beautiful adirondack chairs are very comfortable. Even if it rains it’s a great place to be. The large front windows provide a wonderful view, with a great open feeling. I hope you will enjoy your stay as much as we did.—Nancy from Port Hope

We have stayed at the Loon Talk Cottage on Clear Lake a number of times, and always had a terrific time. The cottage is truly a little piece of paradise. We have nothing but praise for the owner Ken, who always did his utmost to ensure we had a great time. Will definitely come back in the future.—Fedor S.

Hi Ken, We really enjoyed our stay. We chose to stay at Loon Talk Cottage for a family getaway and couldn’t have been happier with the cottage. The waterfront location, great view, fire pit, boat and nearby amenities provided entertainment for the whole family. We especially enjoyed exploring the lake and boating to the lakefront restaurant. I would definitely stay at Loon Talk Cottage again and recommend it to others. —J. Knaus
