It has a very nice sandy wade-in swim area perfect for kids and the whole family. Wonderful westerly exposure for those amazing sunsets. The lake is perfect for swimming, fishing and all watersports.

INTERIOR DESCRIPTION

The cottage is a non-smoking cottage and we appreciate that all our guests who smoke respect that and only smoke outside. We have maintained this cottage in great shape and hope that you will as well during your stay at our cottage. Large fully equipped kitchen, large fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, blender, dishwasher and toaster. Nice full stone fireplace. All 3 bedrooms feature a queen or double bed and dressers. There is a pull-out sofa in the living room and in the 3 season sunroom. There is also a stereo, 55″ LED TV, VCR, and DVD players and playing cards for your use.

EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION

Lovely manicured yard and gardens

Level lot with many trees to provide shade near the water’s edge if needed while watching the boats go by

5 parking spots

Excellent swimming – no heavy current

Sandy play area and small sandy beach

Shallow wade in entry – acceptable for young children or the elderly that may have mobility issues

No weeds – water shoes not needed however always recommend foot protection

L-shaped dock – 30 ft x 8 ft with ladder – water is 6-6.5 ft at the end of the dock

Dock is large enough to hold an 18 ’- 21’ bowrider/pleasure/ski type boat or possibly larger – with boat folding cleats on dock

The lake is excellent for motorboats, water skiing, paddle boarding, kayaking etc.

Amount of boat traffic varies-10km/hr speed limit

We had a very enjoyable time at the Fenelon Falls Getaway cottage again this year.  Close to Fenelon Falls by boat for restaurants and groceries. Great place for us to spend family time together.  Beach area is great for our 3 yr old grandson and docking great for boat & seadoo. Nice to have laundry facilities too –Fran (July 2017)

 

We rented this property for a week and enjoyed it so much . The property was better than we expected as we were comfortable with 7 people aged 2 to 63.  We brought a boat and Seadoos to travel the waterways from Bobcaygeon to Balsam Lake.  The property is well situated to get around by water and it affords a calm port as it is well protected from wind and waves. The dock was perfect for fishing and swimming. We would go back.  -Ken R. (July 2016)

 

The week was a success because; the air conditioning, the dock for the boat was exceptionally nice, the neighbouring cottages were quiet, the cottage was located on a quiet area, close to good fishing and lots of small fish were caught fright off of the dock.  -P.K.

 

We recently stayed at the Fenelon Falls Getaway for a week’s vacation.  Not only was the cottage beautiful, clean and more than large enough, but the grounds and access to the water were excellent.  The boats available for use, both a small boat with oars and a canoe, were serviceable with life jackets of all sizes to make it safe for all to experience.  The cottage was in a beautiful, secluded area but still was only 2-3 kms away from the downtown area.  The people were friendly and helpful.  I would absolutely recommend this cottage and I hope to stay there again soon.  Thanks again. -Catherine Proulx
