The view of Buckhorn Lake is spectacular. The cottage is situated off the main channel so you don’t get the waves from the large boats yet can still watch them go by. The lakefront of the cottage tends to be very calm and is great for all boating activities. We are within walking distance to Six Foot Bay Golf Course that has a wonderful restaurant if you don’t feel like cooking after a hard day of playing.

ACTIVITIES NEARBY

Buckhorn is always bustling in the summer, and generally has different activities going on, especially on long weekends. A calendar of events is available in the cottage. There are many fishing derbies for adults and children. Restaurants in this area are fantastic. Once again, we will have a binder of all this information located in the cottage.

This was an awesome vacation in the most wonderful cottage by the lake. The cottage was extremely comfortable with every modern convenience you could need. The hot tub was an excellent way to relax of an evening. The lake toys – canoes, paddle boards etc were great fun. Our family of 5 adults, one 2 year old, and one dog stayed at the beautiful “Solstice Retreat” on Lake Buckhorn in June 2018. The property was exactly what we needed for a week away, and there were so many amazing elements that we didn’t expect! Well stocked with games, including a shed filled with lawn activities (we even had a mini badminton tournament!), beautiful modern upgrades, and very cozy furnishings. There was also a ton of space for our family and having two bathrooms was also a bonus! Ken and the team at Kawartha Cottage Vacations were a dream to coordinate the rental with. Pet Fee: No charge for first pet, $75 for each additional pet

Families/groups with a dog will be required to pay for the Cleaning Service at the end of their vacation dates

Outstanding balance + $1500 cottage damage deposit due 28 days prior to checking in
Damage Deposit(s): To be refunded within 7 business days upon check-out

Weekly rentals including a Statutory Long Weekend will be calculated using a prorated weekly rate
