The cottage, bunkie and property were exactly as described! The cottage had everything needed for a comfortable and cozy stay, well maintained, and the lake was a nice size for fishing and tubing. The owners were quick to reply with the few questions we had and great to communicate with leading up to our time there. A lovely cottage in a peaceful beautiful setting! We enjoyed our time there and thankful to have had a wonderful space for a week long summer vacation. -Kendra (July 2022)

Well kept. Very private. Everything you need. BBQ, firepit, lots of beds. Bunky is a great feature -Rose T. (June 2019)

I just wanted to let you know that we had an awesome weekend at the Powell Cottage. The cottage is in great condition and well cared for – you immediately felt at home when you walked through the door. Chris was right – the kitchen is well stocked and everything we needed was there. We used the canoe, kayaks, and standup paddle board. Chris got the row boat ready for us to row (without the motor) but most of the ladies were just happy laying on the dock in the sun. Several of us went swimming (I went in everyday). We also made a fire the one night and that was great too – a lot of wood available to use. We also really liked the screened in porch – great for hanging out at night and escaping the bugs. I would definitely recommend the cottage and your company again. I was a bit hesitant, as you remember I am sure, since I’ve never rented a cottage before but everyone was so helpful and nice that it helped reassure me. I can’t imagine the weekend being any better. Thanks again for all your help. -Becky (May 2016)

Firstly we would like to thank you for a wonderful experience, as the cottage was almost everything we could have hoped for.  The cottage was not too far from Toronto, and the directions were very clear.  The cottage was neat and clean, the lake was clean, the dock was great and the paddle boat and canoe were in good condition.  The kitchen was organized and had a little bit of everything we needed.   The Bunkie was an asset and the screened in veranda was a nice touch, as we were able to avoid the bugs while still sitting ‘outdoors’.  We will absolutely refer people to book at the Powell Cottage. -The Merchant Family

We had a very enjoyable time at the cottage, so much so that we would love to come back again next year! We loved the size of the lake, not too big so we weren’t disturbed by the noise made by large boats and jet skis (as we have experienced in the past), but still big enough for us to swim, kayak, canoe, and fish! On that note, we also loved having access to the kayaks, canoe, and paddle boats. It really allowed us to make the most of our time there and gave us the freedom to explore the lake and surrounding cottages. The cottage itself was also beautiful and very well kept and well stocked! It was great not having to worry about bringing a bunch of spices and seasonings because most of what we needed was already there (and then some!). I loved the idea of the screened in porch as it allowed us to enjoy the “outdoors” even while it was raining and when the bugs were out. The cottage owners were also absolutely awesome! They responded to emails quickly and were very informative and helpful! -Stephanie Magas
