7000 acres of pristine Algonquin wilderness. Welcome to this charming cottage nestled in the family oriented Harcourt Park community! This timeless property is a tranquil Algonquin-like setting, ideal for entertaining friends and relaxing with family. Lots of activities to do that a family will take ten years to get to it all. There are two nearby back lakes with no cottages and stocked fish which is ideal for a picnic adventure. There is a nice easy 45 minute hike on big island which is a short paddle accross the bay. There are two waterfalls in the park if you are looking for a destination adventure. Lots of great trails for biking and hiking.

Located at the end of a private seasonal road, this much admired property combines inside and outside value with upgraded charm, features 900 square feet of living space, hardwood floors on the main level and 4 bedrooms with one master with a king bed overlooking the lake.

Upon your arrival, you will immediately take notice of the water view. The porch and elevated view will give you endless changing water views. The cottage is bright and airy open concept main level with an abundance of windows and magnificent panoramic and unobstructed views of Big Straggle Lake. The open kitchen, huge harvest table and island allow for smooth family entertaining. Our favourite family space is the large screened in porch off the main room.  There will never be a dull moment for anyone with outdoor interests and when it is time to go inside, the cottage is ready for inside entertainment.

EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION

  • Drive to cottage level for single parking and access
  • Enjoy the outdoors and cooking outside on the new charcoal BBQ – outdoor oven which is ideal to cook pizzas
  • Propane and BBQ Kettle – bring Your own cumbustibles or exchange what you use with 2 containers provided (see CRA regarding filling)
  • Large dock and all day sun, beautiful Bancroft rock landscaping, shallow swimming bay with a constant breeze
  • Take a boat out after 7 pm and chase the sun around the lake
  • Very private
  • Plenty of parking
  • It is a steep pitch to the cottage and to the lake – both distances have a landscaped walkway carved into the terrain with railing
  • Large dock: 30 ft extension for the dock and you can dive off the end – water is 10 ft+ at the end of the dock – staircase ladder great for kids and pets

Interac E-Transfer (preferred method)
Initial deposit of 50% due upon booking
Outstanding balance + $1000.00 damage deposit is due 28 days (4 weeks) prior to checking in.
Damage Deposit: To be refunded within 7 business days upon check-out (any issues above normal wear and tear cost will be passed to the guest with a $50 flat management fee which will be deducted from the damage deposit)

Weekly rentals including a Statutory Long Weekend will be calculated using a prorated weekly rate
