TESTIMONIALS

We had a wonderful time at Grandview on Big Bald Lake. The cottage is great with a fantastic view and we really enjoyed Big Bald Lake. We love to fish and the fishing was amazing. —Gary T. (Aug 2023)

The cottage is very comfortable, well appointed and clean. Kitchen is well stocked. Outdoor dining area is fantastic, with an amazing view. Lake is clean, good swimming from the dock. —Christina W. (Sep 2022)

This cottage has high end everything, including the view which is out of this world; the cottage owner went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay. I would totally recommend this cottage. —Deb. H. (Aug. 2021)

We loved our stay at Grandview Cottage on Big Bald Lake. The folks we rented from were very easy to collaborate with. The extra beds in the bunkie served our group well. Lake was also great. The one thing I would mention is the pictures portray the common area (kitchen / living room) much bigger than it is. Aside from this, I would recommend this as a great place to stay. —Lisa P (July 2021)

The cottage had everything we needed. Lots of dishes, glasses and pots and pans. All water was drinkable. The owner was very responsive and quick to answer questions. The location and view was beautiful. Very peaceful and relaxing. Lots of chairs on the deck with a great size table for a group. Wifi was very good. We had three people working and others using mobile devices and had no issues with internet connection. There was only one shower but we were ok. —Cathy T. (June 2021)

Our stay at Grandview on Big Bald Lake was just what we were looking for in December. Beautiful views of the lake and lots of peace and quiet. The owners were very accommodating and helped us with getting the right channels for our NFL Football fix 🙂 We were a short drive to Buckhorn and enjoyed getting out for some socially-distanced winter walking in a nearby forest. —Ron D. (Dec. 2020)

We stayed in a lovely, tastefully decorated cottage that is very well equipped. Everything is fresh and new. The kitchen is well prepared for visitors with all new appliances, many kitchen tools and has so much space to it. The living room, dining room and bedrooms are good sized and provide space for visitors’ belongings. The large deck of the cottage is of course a main feature with a fantastic view across the lake and comfortable furniture to sit out in. I really liked the fact that the wrap around deck had a gate that could be closed my dog could run around the deck and have no opportunity to wander off. We enjoyed using the barbecue which is conveniently at one end of the deck and doesn’t seem to take much space.  The fire pit patio area and the areas leading down to the water are quite impressive with all the large stone work there. Off the dock there is a large lily pad which was enjoyed by all and is a great feature to have. There was easy access to the water from several points off the stone patio which was important to the person kayaking. We had access to kayaks and a pedal boat which added further to the enjoyment of the cottage experience. One family member with a baby was able to sit in a little cove at the bottom of the stone steps in the water and dip her baby in the water there. All in all it was a very enjoyable experience staying at this very nice cottage that has so much going for it. Thank you for a great time! —Mary S. (Aug. 2020)

Beautiful, clean and modern single floor cozy cottage on semi-private waterfront with the best lake view I’ve ever stayed at. Water was beautiful for swimming in July and features such as the spacious fire pit area, pedal boat, 6 burner bbq, and wrap around deck were all great. Amazing landscaping/waterfront. Cottage inside has a nice kitchen and open concept living/dining area with 3 nice bedrooms. The property and area is beautiful and our family of 2 adults, 3 kids and our dog very much enjoyed our entire week at the venue. Grocery, LCBO and takeout food options only a 5 minute drive away in Buckhorn. Host was very responsive. —Rajeev R. (July 2020)

The cottage is beautiful. Clean and recently renovated. The location is fantastic. Clean water for swimming and great fishing. Couldn’t have asked for a better getaway —Sandra A. (July 2020)

This is a beautiful cottage. The deck is the highlight, with lots of furniture and a beautiful view of the lake. The cottage is clean and newly renovated. The solid dock and muskoka chairs were lovely to sit on and the fire pit was wonderful. The deck and dock are made from engineered planks, not wood, which means no splinters for anyone. —Elizabeth M. (June 2020)
